5. Lin-Manuel Miranda has no interest in hosting the Oscars

Miranda will be attending the Oscars for the first time this Sunday, nominated for Best Original Song.

But while talking to the “Hollywood Reporter”, he explained why he wouldn’t want to host the Oscars himself:

“Hosting the Oscars is not a thing I would ever want to do. I am a huge Seth MacFarlane fan, but you could tell how uncomfortable everyone in the room was with his ‘We Saw Your Boobs’ number. You always have to do this dance as a host: You’re playing to a billion people at home, and you’re playing to anxious contestants in a room, and that’s an insanely hard thing to divide. It’s the most thankless task in the world. I have a pretty healthy ego, but it does not extend in that direction. I’d much rather be the guy writing the opening tune than having to deliver it.”

6. Jimmy Kimmel has considered not re-signing his contract when it expires in 3 years

The host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” told “Variety”:

“I know I will do the show for another three years….It’s possible that will be it. My wife’s pregnant. At a certain point, I’d like to have a little more free time. I have very little free time as it is.”

“I think this job is a grind, and best-cast scenario, a marathon,” Kimmel said. “I want to go out on my own terms. If I ever feel like we’re repeating ourselves, I think it’s a good indication that it’s time.”

Kimmel serves as an executive producer of the show, showing up to the studios each morning at 9am, taping the show at 5pm, and working from his computer each night after dinner to research for the show.

Kimmel also said if he left the show, he may not necessarily work in show business but in something else that excites him creatively, saying:

“I like to draw. I like to make sculptures. I’d like to write a book at some point. Doing the show every day doesn’t leave a lot of time for that.”

7. Drew Barrymore lost 20 pounds by incorporating a bit more filling protein into her diet

Barrymore hinted that losing 20 pounds was from eating more filling protein as a part of her diet.

Jaclyn London, MS, RD, and Good Housekeeping Institute’s Nutrition Director said”
“Drew’s super smart to add more protein for weight loss to her diet! Foods like seafood, poultry, low-fat dairy, lean cuts of beef and especially plant-based foods (chickpeas, nuts, seeds, beans and legumes) are key for optimizing long-term weight loss, since it helps keep blood sugar stable and helps to keep you fuller, longer,”
